Very Difficult

PUP/NIN SMN/RDM duo. Use tank setup for PUP. Trusts: August, Ghesho, Yoran, Ferrous. SMN can use w/e, I used Siren and Hysteric Assault. Easy fight. Both of us 2hr'd, neither needed to. Gibbles

While it is possible to do a melee strategy, the risk of failure is higher, especially on Very Difficult.

• Party setup is 1x PLD/BLU, 2x RNG/NIN, 1x RDM/WHM, 1x COR, 1x BRD/WHM.
• PLD should have relic reforged gear, Repulse Mantle, PDT rings (preferably Defending Ring and augmented Dark Ring), and Ochain. PLD should never change gear.
• RNGs should have Annihilators and use Coronach.
• BRD does Nightingale/Troubadour Soul Voice Archer's Prelude, Hunter's Prelude, Minuets 5, 4, (and 3 if have 99 Daurdabla) on the RNGs and COR on the stairs where you can see Ark Angel GK.
• BRD does Nightingale/Troubadour Soul Voice Victory March (March x2 if have 99 Daurdabla), Ballad x2, Scherzo on PLD, RDM, and himself.
• COR should do Hunter's Roll and Courser's Roll.
• RNG and COR should use Riverfin Soup, Kohlrouladen, Pot-au-feu, or sushi.

PLD goes in after casting Phalanx, Reprisal, Crusade, Enlight, and Cocoon. Flashes the GK and uses Sentinel.

• BRD pulls the GK's wyvern away with elegy. COR kill it. It will repop, just kill it again.
• PLD spams Flash, Blank Gaze, and Jettatura on GK. Be sure to maintain self buffs.
• RDM does Dia III on GK, Flurry II on RNGs and COR, Refresh II on PLD (and Haste if BRD does not have 99 Daurdabla).
• BRD try to land Carnage Elegy and Foe Requiem VII on GK.
• Both the RDM and BRD should be curing the PLD, but really the PLD should be taking very little damage and able to cure himself.
• RNGs use Decoy Shot and stay at least 15 yalms away at all times.
• COR needs to be very careful with hate, especially at the beginning. Recommend COR not damage GK until a couple WSs from the RNG. For the most part, COR should just focus on keeping the GK's wyvern dead.
• PLD should only do the WS Atonement. If max damage is not achieved, notify rest of party so they can back off on damage (usually COR is the culprit of pulling hate).
• RNGs should use Overkill right from the start once Decoy Shot is used and PLD has used Sentinel. -- 2 January 2015‎ Protey

Difficult

PUP with Overdrive setup and some standard trusts. Attack AAGK, then his pet briefly (to establish enmity on your trust tank), then back to AAGK. Deploy automaton, OD, and stand back. Gibbles

Did on VE for the trust.

99RDM/NIN, average gear (Colada + Demersal Degen +1, mix & match Ambuscade +1 gear). Went with Gessho for shadows - though I stole hate after 1st savage blade, so he was useless and I tanked (which was no problem with shadows). Also had Qultada, Apururu [U], Lion (for TH), Iroha II. It was over in 7 minutes - half of which was me buffing and then answering the phone. If I was doing it again, I'd drop Gessho for a different DD to make it go quicker.

• Did this solo with trusts on RDM99/THF20 with i119 Weatherspoon+1 Set and the trusts Valaineral, Zeid II, Flaviria (UC), Ulmia and Kupipi. Got him down to about 15% and then he started spamming Tachi: Fudo to instant-kill everyone one by one. Zeid II was first to die from Max HP, then Valaineral when boss was at 3% remaining HP. Flaviria died at him being at 2% HP, which means I was next, which he did kill me. Coldreactive (talk) 07:34, 26 March 2023 (UTC)
• After grinding out 400 Domain Points for two Emissaries and getting NIN to 49 for Sub-class, I can safely say I barely beat this with Weatherspoon+1 armor. This time, only Zeid II died from a one-shot Tachi: Fudo at around 20% HP remaining on GK. Valaineral decided he wouldn't spam his MP to be so low and decided to defense buff a lot, he didn't get one-shot by Tachi: Fudo this time; Ulmia decided to actually use her Mage's Ballad. The fact that Utsusemi: Ichi absorbed *several* AoEs may have helped Kupipi heal the right people as well. Coldreactive (talk) 06:12, 29 March 2023 (UTC)

Solo on DRG/SAM, no NIN or NIN trust. Went fine. Apururu, Ulmia, Koru-Moru, Trion, Valaineral (2 tanks just in case). Nobody died. Either SC off of your trusts (Uriel Blade > Wheeling Thrust is Lv 3 Light) or spam Stardiver. Used superjump to shed hate when he targeted me for Tachi: Fudo. Also used Restoring Breath when HP got low just in case. At 20% I just went all in and dumped as much damage as I could to kill him. Wasn't hard at all. - (Miggles) Sep 29 2023
