Grind into Obscurity!
This guide is to help share where to gain Experience and Capacity Points.
This is a collaborative guide, and thus information from various people and sources is included in.
Most of the leveling for EXP is done solo with trusts or with a friend or two. The level ranges of the suggestions are set with that in mind, but you can of course move as you see fit.
This guide assumes that the player has obtained Trusts already.
- Trusts do not level up with the player much like pets and must be recalled in order to be leveled up. They are your level at the time of casting including the casters iLvl armor once applicable.
- A quick way to release all of your trusts is to use the command "/refa all".

Experience Points
- Be sure to look at our Experience Point Bonuses page to maximize the total Experience you earn. For example, Experience Rings.
- Many of these cannot be obtained by new players but they will help with subsequent jobs. The early Rhapsody key items from Rhapsodies of Vana'diel, Kupofried Trust Magic and the Sanction/Signet/Sigil and the EXP Rings are the easiest Experience Bonuses to get for new and returning players depending on what you get you can start off with a 95% to 150% experience boost when you first begin!
- See how you can obtain these bonuses as soon as you are able or what is available to you every bonus offered makes leveling easier!
- Be sure to set applicable Records of Eminence objectives in the Quest Section of the
- Make sure to set objectives in your Records of Eminence pertaining to where you are currently leveling.
- Set Records of Eminence objectives specifically for where you are leveling which includes: the Area where you are currently leveling, Spoils such as crystals and drop items, and combat objectives such as killing a certain amount of enemies, healing, many of these objectives are repeatable so you can earn continuous experience.
- Be sure to set applicable Fields of Valor or Grounds of Valor objectives in the area that you are leveling in.
- These will grant extra experience for something you are already generally fighting.
- Generally, Fields of Valor books are located around Outposts and near the zone entrance/exits. While Grounds of Valor are at zone entrance/exits and somewhere convenient for leveling up.
- Try to get enemies that are the same or are in the general area of each other so you can level in a loop for maximum efficiency and EXP!
- Kill quickly there is a bonus for killing monster quickly that gives you an experience boost.
- The bonus is obtained by defeating monsters that check as Even Match or tougher (EM+) within a time limit that starts when the last EM+ mob is killed.
- Make sure to check enemy strength difficulty by using /Check.
Recommended Level Path
The recommended path to leveling a character from level 1 to 99 is subjective but this is the most convenient way to level up accessing areas for new and returning veteran players as it saves time and gets you more exp, some of the more famous Level 75 cap legacy areas no longer have monsters level capped due to later content expansions and are at 99 which can easily kill a player character, this guide also takes into consideration access to these areas for the most part can be easily accessed by simply going to them or relatively quick ways to access them as this is a natural progression once the areas are unlocked and quick access to them is earned this leveling path can be repeatedly used to level multiple jobs to level 99 very quickly with or without the Experience Point Bonuses due to Records of Eminence and Grounds of Valor bonuses if you do not have the bonus experience boosts from various tasks completed or items obtained. If you have it available to you a high level White Mage to heal and buff you would be excellent to cut down on unnecessary party deaths, healing and taking on more powerful enemies and the White Mage take the aggro.

First Time Leveling Up?
Upon reaching Level 18 you will be able to access to Sub Jobs. A sub job or "support job", is a secondary job which grants its spells, traits, skills, and abilities to your main job.
Sub jobs do not receive experience points or skill ups and their level is limited to half that of the main jobIn order to unlock access to sub jobs, a character must be Level 18 in at least one job, then complete one of the following quests:
- Elder Memories, from Isacio - Selbina (G-10). (Bastok and San d'Oria players)
- The Old Lady, from Vera - Mhaura (G-10). (Windurst Players)
Alternatively, it is recommended players instead complete Rhapsodies of Vanadiel Mission 1-4 Set Free to gain a Gilgamesh's introductory letter.
- This will allow you to speak to the aforementioned NPCs and instantly unlock one at level 3+.
- If you need equipment you can complete Records of Eminence for Spark Gear [Level 1-10 ] and [Gear Level 10-20] this will help you gear up your character!

Individual Training Pages 1 or 2 Go to west at the intersection at the beginning of the zone the Gigas are there you can head SW into the staircase at (F-9), it heads to the Second Floor with more Gigas you can camp here safely and chain and farm Gigas and other Monsters here safely and avoid getting aggro'd and links. There is a Cermet Door to the west at E-8 this takes you to the basement which has monsters in the Level 25-32 range it also has a passage to take you to the top of the tower in Upper Delkfuutt's Tower, to another leveling area in this guide that can take you from level 35 to level 50. If you lack the key to the door then see this for a walkthrough to the top, but beware it is a long trek. You will have to make it at some point though so it isn't time lost. First Time Leveling Up?
You can gain XP at level 80 with the training pages and any Experience Point Bonuses until the area is Decent Challenge-to-Easy Prey at level 95, Dangruf Wadi is an excellent place to farm for Kindred crests and grind for Merit Points. Which are required for Limit Breaks 7 through 9 to increase your level cap to 95.
Trimmers drop Seasoning Stones and Fossilized Fangs as well. Used for level limit break 10 to raise the level cap from 95 to 99.

Congratulations! you have reached Level 99! That wasn't so bad was it? Now you have access to IL level (Level 99+) equipment, story, add-ons and end game content after certain requirements are met!
At level 99 characters can start the process to earn Job Points for all level 99 jobs to further job mastery and enhance your job skills! Job Points can only be gained after a player obtains the job breaker key item from the Nomad Moogle in Ru'Lude Gardens at (H-5). The Key Item job breaker will be obtained after speaking with the Nomad Moogle if the player has previously obtained the limit breaker key item and reached level 99 on their current job.

Apex
Apex monsters are generally fought in a party with either magic bursts as the primary form of damage or a four step skillchain with a strong closer like Leaden Salute. They respawn quickly so that a room of half a dozen or so mobs can result in endless chains.
Apex Mobs are mobs used to farm Capacity Points which this is a short list of where to start out.
No Apex monsters link to each other, but most aggro.

AOE Burn
Escha Zi'Tah Power Leveling This method is used to power level a sub-99 character, it be done with the assistance of a fully leveled player with il119 gear and a party of 4 trusts, so there is the il119 player, the four trusts and the character being power leveled. You need to use a job that causes AOE damage so a Summoner or Blue Mage will be the best option with gear and maybe food set up for inflicting the maximum amount of damage, having the 4 trusts being able to heal and pulling off AOE weapons skills combo's are a plus to provide more additional damage to the mob. Have the lower the party while the il119 player party collects the whole area's Shadow Dragons and kills the whole mob with AOE attacks and the lower-level player stands within EXP collection to collect the experience, this can be done at the start of level 50 and access to Escha Zi'Tah you can go from level 50 to 99 in a few hours, EXP rings as stated above in this guide are encouraged as it speeds up the leveling process.
