Magical maps, for the most part, act as permanent key items; they don't disappear after you have obtained them.

Temporary Maps

Maps for Assault, Salvage, Campaign Ops, Skirmish, and other instanced events act as temporary key items. They will appear once you zone into the area or meet certain requirements, then disappear after you exit; however, they can still be marked like normal maps.

The following maps fall into the temporary maps category:

The maps below are puchased each instance of Skirmish from the Noetic Ascension. They disappear when the instance concludes.

Ease of obtaining Quested Maps

As of the Nov. 2013 and Dec. 2014 Version Updates, you can now purchase previously Quested-Only maps from the following NPCs

The following maps are included in this change, and can now simply be purchased from the above NPCs
